TARA’S DIARY – Feb 13, 2008 – Wednesday
CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
So I just met up with Sergio a couple days ago. Sergio is a guy that Troy Lee uses for some t-shirt designs. He was trying to give me a crash course in Adobe Photoshop and he was a pretty good teacher so hopefully I'll be kickin' a** on this thing soon.
I haven't had a whole lot of therapy this week unfortunately. My back pain has just been ridiculous, which I think I might have mentioned in the last blog. So I went in today to see my pain specialist and got knocked out for a few steroid shots in my back. Good times...good times! Duuuude....I freakin’ HATE shots and I can't stress that word enough! Crappy thing is that is was supposed to get rid of the pain; however the pain is still front and center. Ugh.
Anyway so since I went into get that done this a.m I missed my entire therapy hour because they were running late. That sucked. It was partly my fault though because I shouldn't have scheduled them so close. Minor details. So after my “non”-therapy (can you tell I'm salty about it?) I drove (meaning my mom had to drive me) out to Brooke's house in Riverside.
I met Brooke through some mutual friends and I went out there to check out some different hand controls to drive with. I can't wait to take the DMV's driver test. I just don't want to have to keep asking for rides everywhere from either my mom or my friends. My mom and friends have been great, but it'd be nice to get some independence back ya know. Brooke was super cool and let me borrow the hand controls so we'll see how that goes.
Tomorrow I have another Dr. appt. (I know...I know...you're getting sick of me saying that) and then after that I think I'm heading up to LA with CVD and Tara Dakides and heading to the Children's Hospital to visit some kids. I was stoked when he asked if I would go!
Anyway, it's like midnight and I'm tired so I'm off to bed.
cheers,
t
