TARA’S DIARY – Feb 18, 2008 – Monday
I wanted to write a blog last Friday to tell you about the L.A Children's Hospital that I went to with CVD and Tara Dakides, but when we got back Thursday night I got super sick and was sick and in bed all through Saturday midday. However I have good news. I am no longer sick and my back pain seems to have subsided and I'm STOKED!!
But about the Children's Hospital...Chris invited me and we drove up to L.A and had a really great time. We met some really amazing kids up there who are twice as strong as I am. Kids with leukemia, with rare blood diseases, etc., and yet they still had huge smiles on their faces. We weren't allowed to take pics of the kids unless the parents gave consent and we only were able to get consent from one mom. I apologize because I can't remember her name, but her sons name was William and he was super shy and just a great kid. He is 16 and loves Salmon fishing in Alaska. I hope he gets out of there soon! Good luck William...I know you can get through this!
So as you've read I've been in a world of hurt. I even went and got those stupid shots that probably cost me another grand or two....Ya know...cuz' I've got that money tree in the back yard. Yeah, well it's been 5 days since the shots and nuthin'. However, I went into therapy today and my therapist started playing with my seat cushion. She tightened it a bit and moved it the seat around on the chair and it was like freakin' night and day!! It's nuts, but my back pain seems better already. WooHoo! I guess I'll know tomorrow or the next day.
Anyway, so I was feeling better so I had a BBQ with friends today and once again I have some great pics of little Hayden. Check out the piccie section!
Cheers,
tara
